Renee Connell enjoys the Arts, especially acting, singing, and writing. She is a member of SAG-AFTRA, AEA & BMI.Renee was cast as a choir member in episodes 3 & 5 of Season 2/ Power Book III: Raising Kanan on the STARZ Network and in episode 10 of "Let The Right One In"on the Showtime network. She was featured in Vy Higginsen's Gospel Musical "Let The Music Play Gospel", at the Dempsey Theatre in Harlem N.Y. She was also featured in Alive! and Kickin', a Musical written and produced by the late Ken Wydro and Vy Higginsen, at the Dempsey Theatre in Harlem N.Y. She was featured, along with other cast members, in a piece on CBS' 60 Minutes. She was nominated for the AUDELCO Awards for Outstanding Performance in a Musical –Female, for her performance in Alive! and Kickin'. She was cast as the singing narrator for Driving Miss Daisy. Renee was cast as the Negro Woman, the Mexican Woman and the singing narrator for A Street Car Named Desire.Renee was the Recipient of the NAACP Lorraine Hansberry Theatrical Award for writing and producing “The Candle Party, an original Inspirational Play”.Renee sang professionally with Kool and The Gang, Paul Simon, Donald Malloy and various R&B artists."Only what you do for Christ will last"
